Today was a big day in the remodel project - the workmen broke through the wall to begin connecting the add-on to the house.
I think this means we're in the home stretch. Just a few weeks to go?
I thought our biggest problem was going to be how to keep the house warm in 30-something degree weather with a huge hole in the back, but busting through the wall brought a new set of issues we didn't anticipate.
When they tore into the ceiling, insulation material infiltrated our house and is airborne. Because the workmen didn't properly seal off the room our house is full of dust, especially in No. 2's room and Matt's study.
What a mess.
So we're staying at Matt's friend Wade's house until Saturday-ish. And when I say "we" I mean Larkin and me.
Matt leaves town tomorrow morning for a work conference in Florida.
After all the quality time we'll be spending together, by the end of the week I'm guessing Wade will either want a wife and kiddo of his very own or absolutely not.
Jennifer, we have a guest room and we're all set up for toddlers!! Please come stay with us if you need to - you are all welcome :)
