Bothersome bedtime

Lately I don't look forward to bedtime. In addition to some tossing and turning, I know that the night ahead will include waking up 2-3 times to carefully roll out of bed in a effort to just make it to the bathroom.

I try to stay off my back and instead lay on my left or right side. Sometimes I'll pick a side only to have to switch to the other because BL kicks me from within for laying directly on her. Sorry, kiddo.

When I sleep, I have a pillow on my left and a pillow on my right, in addition to the one under my head. On whichever side I pick, I try to position the pillow so that my belly is propped up on top. All the adjusting and maneuvering puts me a little out of breath.

And, it's hot. Our air is turned down to 70 at night. I'm usually the one who is cold-natured, but now Matt requires an extra blanket while I'm sweating covered by just a sheet.

No wonder I'm so tired. I took at least one nap each of the past three days. Still, I suppose this is nothing compared to being woken up every 2-3 hours (or more?) once BL gets here. I should enjoy my sleep while I can!

Hehe, I remember those days! Now I can only sleep on my back because the pressure on my chest, even just from laying on my side, can cause serious milk leakage ;)

Our bodies are doing amazing things Jen. And once the baby's here and waking you up every few hours, you'll get these bursts of mommy hormones that make it somewhat more doable.

Not much longer now!!!
