You've come a Long way, baby: Layne is 1 month old today

Happy 1 month birthday, Layne!

We have seen a number of changes in Layne between when she was born and today. Quite a few things have happened in the past 4 weeks:

Layne has gained more than a pound over her birth weight - she weighed 8 pounds 3 ounces at her doctor appointment earlier this week.
She seems to recognize her mommy and daddy. She stares intently at faces.
Both Matt and I have seen Layne smile!
She focuses on the monkey or hippo hanging over her bouncy seat, and just this week she even reached for the monkey.
Layne loves to be held and cuddled.

Not to mention varying sleep patterns, a 2-day stint at Dell Children's and a big sister who is still getting used to having her around.
