Larkin had another great day spending the morning with the Dewdrops.
When Larkin entered the room, all the kids stopped what they were doing and smiled and cheered because they were happy to see her. She already has friends!
She had water play and ate lunch with the Dewdrops, then begrudgingly returned to the Sunflowers room.
Not long after, Miss Annie (the Mainspring Schools center director) stopped in to see how the Sunflowers were doing. Larkin raised her arms to be picked up, and then she pointed to the Dewdrops room across the courtyard, like she wanted to go back.
So Miss Annie took Larkin back to visit the Dewdrops classroom for a second time. It was the beginning of naptime for the Dewdrops, so they sat quietly together and Miss Annie told her about naptime. Hopefully something sunk in.
I'm so glad the transition is going well!
