Larkin is out of her rear-facing, infant carseat and has a comfy, forward-facing carseat in both my and Matt's cars.
She is so much happier not being crammed backward in a carseat meant for a baby. No way, not for this big girl.
Joey likes it too.

Hey Jen~ I'm curious about your decision on the carseat. My pedi said the AAP is now recommending all kids stay rear facing for two years regardless of weight. What made you guys go ahead and turn Larkin around?

We really didn't even consider not switching her. I didn't hear that new AAP recommendation until after she was already forward-facing in Matt's car. I plan to ask her pedi at her 1-year appointment and see what he thinks.
