Shoe shopping

Today Melissa and I took Larkin shoe shopping. It was fun having girl time, shopping for shoes together. Such an important pasttime to learn at an early age!

First, the saleslady measured Larkin's feet: size 3 1/2 for one foot and size 4 for the other. And she said Larkin had wide feet. Clearly that's where Larkin is carrying some of her baby fat.

We tried on lots of different pairs. At first Larkin wasn't sure about the new, weird things strapped to her feet.

She is used to wearing socks or soft-soled Robeez or going barefoot, so it took some getting used to these hard soles.

Whenever it was time to practice walking she made her way over to the display of stuffed animals nearby.

Check out Larkin's new kicks!

Very cute! What brand did you decide on?

We got squeaker sneakers - minus the squeak. Most of the other brands were too tight on her chubby feet!

I think that's the brand of the green mary janes we got her. We'll be taking the squeaker out too. :)
