Making room for No. 2

After lots of time spent and hard work (by Matt, not me), we finally have a plan for where No. 2 is going to sleep when we get home from the hospital in February.

This morning we met with our contractor to go over plans for adding on a master bedroom and second bathroom to our house, making it a 3/2.

Our current bedroom will turn into No. 2's room, and she and Larkin will share our existing bathroom.

I also get a utility room down the hall so I don't have go into the garage to do laundry.

And, most exciting of all, I get my own walk-in closet! With lots of shelves! And room for my shoes and bags!

So now that I know No. 2 is a girl have a general sense from our house plans how her room is going to be laid out, my new project is planning how to decorate her room.

Here's hoping that our house remodel is completed on time...and that No. 2 doesn't come too early.

Wow, that sounds like a lot of work, but a great investment! We did a lot of home renovations when Aurora was 5-months old, and it was really hard to be a working mom with contractors at the house all the time. But we got through it and so will you :) My advice is to learn how to turn on the water and hot water heater yourself, in case the contractors ever forget to turn them back on when they leave for the day.
