We packed up the car this morning for a day trip to San Antonio for the annual Perkins Family Christmas get-together with Sadie's side of the family.
PFC is such a nice tradition. This year, nearly 40 family members of the family traveled to San Antonio from all over Texas: Austin, McKinney, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Lubbock, Beaumont and Jasper.
Matt and I always enjoy visiting with his aunts, uncles and cousins who we don't see very often, and today was no exception. It was great to see everyone.
In preparation for seeing Sadie and Poppi, we have been practicing saying "Sadie" and "Poppi" with Larkin while looking at their pictures. Sadie sounds a little like "Dee" but Poppi is much more distinguishable, sounding like "Pa-pa." She loved seeing them both, as well as her Aunt Courtney, Uncle Matt, Taylor, Ben and Abby. (We missed Aunt Lauren and Uncle Brian, who couldn't travel because their baby boy will be born on Tuesday.) Larkin kept pointing to Abby and saying "baby" and even tried to share her snack with baby Abby.
In fact, despite her nap schedule being entirely out of whack, Larkin was in a happy, smiley mood and played, played, played all day long.

It was a wonderful day and I know Mimi was so proud of her big family! Larkin was precious, so funny and such a big girl, even when Bandit the golden retrever stole her cookie out of her hand! Sadie got her another cookie IMMEDIATELY!!
