Layne doesn't know it, but tonight is the last night she will sleep in her crib.
Tomorrow she and Larkin head to Sadie and Poppi's house for a long weekend, and Matt and I will transform Layne's baby room to a big girl room.
We're replacing her crib and changing table with a new big girl bed and dresser, painting the walls and making about a million other updates that I've been planning and obsessing about for months. I've spent a lot of time on Pinterest.
It was nice that tonight the four of us spent time in Layne's room after dinner, playing and reading books until bedtime.
When I was putting Layne to bed she tried to climb out of her crib and said, "Mommy, I want a big girl bed."
Little does she know...it's coming!

I can't believe you did all that without telling her ahead of time! She must've been SO surprised. The finished product looks even better than any of your pinterest inspiration - you did an amazing job!!!
