You've come a Long way, baby

If our family has only done something one time, can it be considered a holiday tradition?



Tonight Matt, his friend James and I took Larkin and Layne to a street in central Austin off Guadalupe that is all lit up with crazy, funky Christmas lights. We parked at one end of the street and pushed the girls in the double stroller.







Larkin was totally into the lights, and we talked a lot about how Santa Claus was going to visit her at Sadie and Poppi's house if she was a good girl.

Layne was fussy in the car on the way there, and she was fussy again on the way home - but walking up and down the brightly colored street she was just as entranced as her sister.







I really hope going to see Christmas lights becomes a Long family holiday tradition.
