Today Larkin celebrated her 3rd birthday with a yellow birthday party surrounded by her family and friends. What a fun day!
We all met bright and early at the splash pad at a nearby park. Just as Larkin had requested, everything was yellow - cake, balloons, cups and plates, fruit, party favors and Larkin and Layne's swimsuits.
We even listened to a special "yellow" mix of songs: Yellow, Yellow Ledbetter, Yellow Submarine, Mellow Yellow, Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree, Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polkadot Bikini and more.
We collected art supplies for Larkin and Layne's school, and everyone had a wonderful time playing in the water and enjoying the summer morning.
Happy birthday to my darling girl. Watching you grow up this past year has been nothing short of amazing, with every day full of surprises and laughter. I love you so, so much.
